Screws we’re to long for door plate. Had to use old screws and plate. Key use is rough, will lubricate with graphite. It does the job.Our deadbolt broke on our old one so ordered this one. Very easy to install and works great!Nice solid lock that was easy to install. The provided keys feel very light. I’m concerned that they will bend or break. Seems to work as expected.atiempoThis lock fit almost perfectly. Four keys a bonus.I did not like how "floppy" the red dead bolt lever was. It felt really cheap. And the pin for the inside latch/handle was sticking out of the bottom. I thought it was ok, considering the inexpensive price.The deal breaker was that it was way too hard to close the door. WAY harder than the lock I was replacing. Especially from the inside, you had to slam the door really hard to get it to latch. My 10 year old son could not manage to close the door. I even tried to lubricate the mechanism. Had to send it back and buy a more expensive one.Maybe mine was a one off, defective one. Who knows.This RV door lock arrived before scheduled. Packaged well and seems to be good quality.It was very easy to install. Gear price as it’s almost 30 dollars more from the dealer. Only thing was the screws which could of included a few larger diameter ones but it wasn’t a big deal.Door now latches and locks way better than before.I installed it on a 1997 Topaz by Triple E. perfect fit.The problem I had with this is that the screws are threaded just slightly different and are of different lengths than the original lock I had to remove.That made it unbelievably difficult to exchange. When I first got it I just changed the inner plate as the latch had broken so it worked ok.But when I changed the lock last night it took me hours into the darkness sorting out all the issues with screws. In the end I got it installed but it was hell.i had to put double foM tape on the ha dle so jt woukd fit, the machine screws were very cheap and stripped when tryibg to get tight ( usibg a set of snap on screw drivers not my first rodeo) the door latch catch screw broke off in thw handle similar to the others that were srripping this one did not but broke right off. i had to drill a hole above the screw hole and jam a rivet in the stop the door catch drom slippingInstalling this new lock was easy and cheaper than getting new keys cut for the old lock! ( which I did and they still did not work which is why Zi purchased the new lock) I should have purchased new lock from the start
