Small access door that was prefect for my projectSmall plastic access panel. Decent quality, seems to work fine. Wish it came in more surface finishes.I needed an access door in the bathroom to reach the electrical box with controls for the skylight. This product was ecomical, sturdy and matching white.Arrived the next day. Would buy again.Sturdy, ease of installationIf you are sitting this on top of sheetrock the holes barely reach yo screw in to the 2x4s. It should be a little deeper. I made it work though. It's a little flimsy, but not as bad as other I looked at. The door has no way of opening once closed. You will have to get something to pry it back open.I use this product to have access to the main water valve in my basement, product is good, it could be better if the frame was stronger and firmReally good would buy again in heartbeat ?I bought this so Openreach could access my phone line. Openreach do not make holes in walls. It was simple to install; I decided which way round I wanted it to open, and marked the top. Then I drew round the back in pencil. I wasn't sure if there were electric cables behind the plasterboard, so I used a Stanley knife to pierce along the lines, jabbing it in. Once I'd removed the square of plasterboard, the access panel wedged in neatly. I took it out again and put masonry filler round the edges to secure it, probably unnecessarily. The whole job took me a bit under an hour, and it looks very neat. The only minor problem is that to open it, you need a knife or similar tool. It's not amazingly robust, but won't be opened often. Before fitting, I sanded it and sprayed with plastic undercoat, so that when it was in situ I just had to paint it with emulsion to match the grey wall.We used this to cover a stopcock in the crooning to an outdoor tab and it saved so much time not having to make a hatch from scratch. It’s shiny so does stick out a bit from the ceiling but really happy with it for the price and time savedThis is quite a neat little hatch for none fireproof access but I returned it because even fully open its opening is 100mm by 110mm. I did not expect the full 150mm square size as described but this was too little.I've fitted white versions before, which are fine, but if you want something that looks a bit more stylish, go for this in silver.Keeps all my electrical equipment within easy reach with great access to all my sockets in my tv media center. Was easy to install I used a stanley & a plasterboard knife & kept the cut out tight I didn't even need to silicone it in it's great.
