The included puck lock has a unique key design that prevents people from creating a copy of your key. This kit also includes a puck-lock holder that lets you hang the puck lock on it when you are opening the door to keep you from losing your puck lock.Before you install your puck lock and hasp kit, you need to determine what length bolts you need to bolt the hasp on. This hasp is designed to use only standard 3/8 carriage bolts. To use this lock kit, line up the inner slide tabs located on the 2 steel pieces. Place the puck lock over the inner slide tabs and use your keys to lock the inner locking mechanism for a secure and strong lock. UNIQUE PUCK-LOCK HOLDER: A built-in lock-holder tab lets you place the puck lock on it while the door is unlocked to keep you from losing your puck lock. Simply remove the puck lock from the holder tab when you need to lock it up again.

HASP INSTALLATION: Our puck lock and hasp kit is designed to work with standard 3/8 carriage bolts. These bolts are not included in this kit. Before installing your hasp, make sure to determine what length bolts you need to ensure proper installation.

WOW!!!!Great product, looks professional, peace of mindItem arrived exactly as described. Installed quickly on a set of thick barn doors using 3/8" carriage bolts purchased separately. Once you get used to the way the puck lock operates, I appreciated having the built-in steel mount to hold the lock temporarily while the doors are open and in use. Reattaching the puck lock is simple.One minor gripe with the non-symmetrical key design on the version I have is it's a little awkward in your fingers to spin clockwise and counter-clockwise while locking and unlocking. That said, I like the lock and steel brackets so far and let's hope they never get tested. I would buy it again.Just awesome locks
