Very good. It fits snuggly around my fat tire bike. My frame overall is much larger/squarer than most and it fits it. Not to mention it is also the highest rated lock there is.Ever since owning my ABUS, purchased long ago, it has served me well. My husband’s old ABUS lock pre-dated mine, and despite oiling, it was occasionally proving difficult to open. Now he has the updated version of mine and he is happy. Kryptonite keys can jam or break in the lock, as this happened to me some time ago. I like the key of the ABUS better, even though it is larger. It is far hardier. I also like the size of my lock and the bracket that comes with it for attaching it to the bike frame. Both manufacturers offer great locks. I decided to give ABUS a try and have been content ever since.Like others who left reviews…..I ordered the larger size version of this lock from Amazon UK but was sent the smaller version that was no good for my needs. I wish warehouse packers understood there are two versions and would send the right one. I returned it at Amazon expense to Scotland and then waited weeks for a refund. I hope you have a better experience. I’ve heard they are good locks, but I’ll never know.Oops! Forgot to get it keyed the same as my other Abus lock. The included mount is a great help. Seems well worth the cost. Have found no negatives. The positives:- easy to use- mounting bracket designThe negative:- it only lasted 2 years. It somehow unlocked itself mid ride on a smooth surface and won't lock anymore. Have a Kryptonite u-lock I bought in the 90s that still works. I guess I expected more. The product is great. My issue is that there where parts of the bracket that had large scratches and nicks in them. The lock is still useable but I am concerned if the damage will affect the lock long term or make thieves think it is a easier target. There was a break in in my apartment complex and they stole drills from the maintenance room. I was going to go for a ride when I found the key hole was drilled out along with other bikes. Luckily because of this lock my bike is still with me today and took The maintenance guys 20 to 25 minutes just to cut through it once and needs a second cut just to get it off my bike because just one cut couldn’t remove it from my frameI'm new (again after a 10 year hiatus that is) to biking. I bought a new bike which set me back $1600 (a bargain these days apparently).I researched locks, fully expecting to get a Kryptonite. At this price point though I decided to go with what other reviewers said about this one. It seems like a good choice.I like the long U shape of the lock. It makes it easy to secure the bike to things. As others have noted the key system is great, works easily every time.I had to look on Youtube to figure out how to install the mounting bracket but it was easy. One thing to note is I was going to install a bottle holder on my frame also but this lock is so big I don't think I can do that now. That's ok, not a big deal. Would still rather have a quality lock like this. Not much else to say about this, it's just a bike lock but seems to be well made (comes from Germany after all), has a killer lighted key that comes with it and all around an excellent lock. Jetzt bin ich geneigt der Polenschlüssel-Aussage Glauben zu schenken....Got myself a very expensive ebike and after doing some research into locks I decided on thisPros-This thing is a BEAST. Just the look of it would make any theif think twice. Trust me when I say no common theif is cracking this lock! The only way into it is with an angle grinder and even then it'll need to be cut twice which will take time and make alot of noise in the process.- Detaches from both ends and clips together with a very satisfying "clunk"- Extremely easy to lock/unlock definitely Feels like it's built to last- the key has a built in light, handy for those darker winter nights.- The mount is great. Pretty simple to fit and keeps the lock in place. Doesn't rattle when at all riding.Cons- its heavy (although its the lightest ulock you can buy)- its biig! Much bigger than it looks. Gives you a good range of locking options especially when combined with a cable but Limited options when mounting it to an ebike.Cant go wrong with this lock. It'll probably be overkill for most people but its better to be safe. Only issue is the size of the thing. bare this in mind before you purchase.Tja, was soll ich sagen, das Bild spricht ja eigentlich für sich. Das Schloss hat 2.5 Monate gehalten, dann wurde es scheinbar relativ schnell und unkompliziert aufgeflext.I bought the long lock as the frame design of my ebike (and perhaps other makes) means there was no way the shorter lock would capture the frame, rear wheel and a bike rack. The mount is designed to fit on round tubes, so the "vertical" post was the only option on my bike and because of the battery position, there is not enough space to fit the lock inside the triangle. So on my ebike, the lock has to be mounted offset from the "vertical" post, but it also has to be angled out to avoid the battery which means it's in the way as I pedal. Mounting the lock offset and facing back may be an option for some but I use often use panniers. Just a minor point which might be a consideration.Edit - Up'ed this to five stars as my "problem" was not really much of a problem. Although the end of the lock does stick out a bit, it does not really affect my cycling action. And having given it a bit more thought, I believe the shorter 230mm version would have been long enough! When using the lock, rather than capture the thick part of the frame, I can just position the lock straight through the rear part of the frame and rear wheel rim, and there is enough space to capture a bike racks. So I guess this is just a long winded way of saying, buy the correct length lock after careful consideration - and the short lock is likely to be easier to mount on the frame.
