I bought this lock because we forgot our rv keys the first trip out this year (I know, rookie mistake) and it was a hassle and we couldn't secure our rv when we left it like we usually do. So I wanted to get a keypad lock. The competitor's has an all plastic housing. This lock feels sturdy and I have no doubt it will last. The lock was easy to install, works great and will be a nice addition to my RV.Tip: Don't leave your original strike plate on the door jamb. Use the one that comes in the kit as it has a slightly larger opening. They looked the same to me so I originally left my rv strike plate. However, the lock had a slight catch to it and wasn't as easy to open the door. Once I swapped out my old strike plate for the one that came in the kit, it opened and closed perfectly!My only complaint: The inside handle/latch is a bit on the large side. On my RV specifically (Forest River Windjammer), the inside latch is just a bit big and catches on my screen door. If it was even a 1/16'' smaller it wouldn't have the issue. It's a bit tougher to separate the screen door from the entry door now but I feel it will get easier with more use. This is not a big enough issue to return it.It's all around a great product that I hope will get lots of life and use out of! BUY IT!!
